Target Your Audience by searching for Twitter lists on Google.

Main Content

Trying to grow your Twitter following? Twitter has it's own search options, but once you are tapped out of relevant results, turn to Google's advanced search options:

Using the "site:" parameter, Google will only return results for a specified URL. In this case, twitter.com. I also noticed that all twitter lists contain "/lists/" in the URL address. So I added the "inurl:" parameter to make sure my Google search results were returning only Twitter Lists. Then, just follow that up with your main keyword. I replaced "topic" with different marketing keywords such as "ppc", "ppc marketing", "google ads", "marketing professionals", "keyword marketing", "seo", "seo marketers", etc. I found huge lists of marketers that have been to various events/seminars and used twitter lists as a networking tool to stay connected with peers they met along the way.
